Tantalising Bulgogi @ Oriental Spoon
I may have only gone there twice but seriously if I have friends with me, it is one of my top list to bring them there.
The reason, because I do not need to make any reservation and there will always be a table despite the huge crowd they attract. That is because this place is pretty big. And the waiters and waitress all seem to be Korean to me. So how authentic is this restaurant?
And they actually refill it which I found out in my second trip! Thumbs up!
For starters, we had yummy spicy Rice cake
And definitely bulgogi!! IMHO, this is a must-order dish because I can never get tired of bulgogi! Had it in my second trip too. Wish I knew how to replicate the dish haha...
On both occasion, Melbourne was cold so the first time, we had steamboat...
Slurp!
And for the second trip, my soup-crazed friend chose Korean ginseng chicken soup with abalone haha. We had wanted to see how authentic this restaurant is and the best gauge is from their ginseng chicken soup where traces of rice can be found in the soup. This, as told by my friend, is the trait of an authentic ginseng chicken soup. As for the abalone, haha, it is quite big and we had to ask for a knife to cut into two. I was busy eating and had forgotten to take a photo of it though haha. So hurry and pop down for an authentic Korean meal in 254 La Trobe Street Melbourne VIC 3000 (From State Library, walk down the La Trobe Street and you will find it!)

Like any typical Korean restaurant, we are served side dishes.
