Visiting Fo Guang Shan on Filial Piety Month...
It was the 7th Lunar Month and the Buddhism believe it to be a Filial Piety Month.
This was based on the Ullambana origin where the Buddha had taught his disciple Maudgalyāyana how to obtain liberation for his mother, who had been reborn into a lower realm.

Thus for this entire month, Fo Guan Shan is holding 'Ullambana Filial gratitude Repaying Ksitigarbha, Compassionate Samadhi Water Repentance and Triple Contemplation Dharma Function', so that our ancestors will be remembered.
