This playful projection was part of the White Night installations in Melbourne on 23rd Feb 2013.
Entitled Red Shoes by Nobuhiro Shimura, the artiste hopes to draws upon ordinary materials and objects to change everyday sites into exhibition spaces.


When I took this photo, it was among a crowd and I did not know which angle is the best way to portray it. But when I was finding a suitable photo to tag this Buddha saying, I realised this photo with the shoes searching for the other end of the tunnel, seems an appropriate photo.

This adheres to the theory that art is subjective. While the artiste had a certain concept when setting up the projection, the audience will also have their own perspective when viewing the artwork in their eyes.
