Visit Fidenza Village

Fidenza Village froms part of the 9 villages in Chic Outlet Shopping. The list are as follows:
1) London-Bicester Village
2) Dublin-Kildare Village
3) Paris-La Vallée Village
4) Madrid-Las Rozas Village
5) Barcelona-La Roca Village
6) Milan-Fidenza Village
7) Brussels-Maasmechelen Village
8) Frankfurt-Wertheim Village

It left quite a pleasant shopping experience and the relaxed atmosphere did help one overcame the jet lag. Oh while I was there, I learnt that it is also part of the route for Giro d'Italia centoanni that will be starting in a few days time.

Detailed instructions on how to go:

Take the metro (Metro 1) to Cairoli.
Upon exit (Uscita, pronounced "oo SHEE ta"), head towards Piazza Castello.
You will see the Castello Sforzesco from afar.
Find the Autostradale Viaggi office. This is the waiting area.

The bus will arrive at 9.45a.m. to pick you from Milan to Fidenza Village.
The same bus will then arrive at 4.00p.m. to send you back to Milan, Piazza Castello.

Remark: It is said the journey is an hour and the bus will reach Fidenza Village by 11.00 a.m. However, my personal experience shows that the bus reached Fidenza Village at 12.00 p.m. The return journey took about the same time so remember to give your schedule some leeway for your evening plans.

In addition, if you do not wish to wait for Fidenza Express, you can choose to take the free shuttle bus that comes every 40 minutes to Fidenza train station.

Lastly, remember to get your One Day Card from the information counter to get some discount at selected stores. The kind driver of Fidenza Express actually parked his bus for awhile and assisted us in signing up for the card.

In conclusion,
Fidenza Express Tickets cost
- 11 Euro for adults on a single trip (Andata Adulto)
- 20 Euro for adults on a return trip (Andata/Ritorno Adulto)
and the shuttle Bus is free.
