Visit Milan Aquarium
Milan Aquarium is one of the oldest and largest of its kind in Italy. It houses 36 gigantic pools filled with more than 100 different species of fish. These fishes lived in recreated environments ranging from the Amazon to the Mediterranean.
The main focus of the pools is leaning towards native Italian fish life, both fresh and saltwater, and plenty of exotic sea life from other continents. The Amazon freshwater pool contains a wonderful exhibit of the infamous piranha. (Somehow I could not find it though :( )
Opening time:
Tue-Sun 9am-1pm and 2pm-5.30pm.

If you are interested, you should drop by their library which contained resources for marine biology and oceanic studies in Italy.

How to go:
Take the metro line 2 and stop at Lanza. Exit heading out towards the Parco Sempione which is a big park. IF you see the tram lines, turn left and you will see the park. At the end of the path will be Viale Gadio which runs between the Parco Sempione and the Castello Sforzesco. Head in the opposite direction from Castello Sforzesco and you will see Milan Aquarium.
Alternatively, you can consider trams 3, 4, 12, 14 and stop at LANZA.
